Anita and Craig take on Annie
Double dose of Hannigan for Annie Tour:
The recent West End production of Annie has announced a UK tour in 2019, playing the Edinburgh Playhouse in October and including both Anita Dobson and Craig Revel Horwood in the role of Miss Hannigan at different venues.
Sunset Boulevard
★★★★★ Triumphant:
There is no doubt that Ria Jones, as Norma Desmond, owns the Curve theatre’s production of Sunset Boulevard that lights into the Playhouse this week, on the first date of its major UK tour.
Sunshine on Tollcross
Proclaimers Musical for King’s:
Sunshine on Leith is to be “revived and revitalised” as a new touring production of the musical based on the songs of the Proclaimers is announced for the Edinburgh King’s in Spring 2018.
Annie
★★★★★ Captivating style:
They say you should never work with animals or children. The touring production of Annie, at the Playhouse until Saturday, proves that, boy, were they wrong.
Pressure
★★★★☆ Atmospheric Pressure:
Involving, emotional and well-crafted, David Haig’s new play about the background to D-Day provides a successful finale to the current Lyceum season.
