Footloose
★★★☆☆ Nostalgic:
There are some decidedly impressive production numbers in the Bohemians’ production of Footloose at the King’s. Add in some excellent singing and you have a show that will please a lot of people with fond memories of the 1980s.
Parton Pleasures
Bohemians open Parton’s 9 to 5 at King’s
The Bohemians open their new production of 9 to 5 The Musical at the King’s this week and audiences should expect some tantalising dance moves from the cast, to go along with Parton’s music and lyrics.
Legally Blonde – The Musical
★★★☆☆ Energetic:
Lacking nothing in sheer relentless drive, the Bohemians’ production of Legally Blonde – The Musical at the King’s has little in the way of subtlety or contrast. As a result, it is great fun but fails to convince completely.
The Gondoliers
✭✭✭✩✩ Sparkly in places:
Soaraway soloists and a sprinkling of modern references add much needed sparkle to Eusog’s production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers which elsewhere lacks emphasis both on stage and in the pit.
Avenue Q
✭✭✭✭✩ Shooting for the stars
Remember when you were young and they said you were special? That you could do anything you wanted if you just believed? Well, they lied.
