It’s Always Sunny on Olympus
★★★☆☆ Fun
Combining sitcom and mythology is the kind of high-concept premise that can always find a willing audience at the Fringe. It’s Always Sunny on Olympus from Mind Yer Head and New Celts at theSpace on The Mile doesn’t completely succeed in living up to its promise, but is entertaining nevertheless.
PPP: The Legend of Davie McKenzie
★★★☆☆ Ebullient
The Legend of Davie McKenzie, the latest A Pie and A Pint from Òran Mór at the Traverse, is an energetic and emotional piece.
Life’s A Drag
★★★★☆ Never drags
There is a great deal going on in Life’s A Drag, from Not Today Satan Theatre and New Celts at theSpace on the Mile on odd dates throughout the Fringe. Too much, perhaps – but the end result is funny, touching and well put together.
Loose Ends
★★★☆☆ Melancholy anger
1TWO1 Productions and New Celts’ Loose Ends – at theSpace on the Mile for the Fringe’s first week only – is a spare and affecting display of vulnerability.
