What’s on Edinburgh’s stages this week
It’s a relatively sedate week on the stages this one, with only four productions of note – although they do include the great Toyah as guest star at the Playhouse.
NOW That’s What I Call A Musical
★★★☆☆ Mixed bag nostalgia
A jukebox musical of 1980s karaoke classics is brought to life to mark the 40th anniversary of legendary compilation tape series Now That’s What I Call Music! at the Edinburgh Playhouse this week.
Road
★★★★☆ Emotionally resonant
The EUTC production of Road at the Bedlam is far too long and distinctly baggy in places. It is also vibrant, accomplished and compelling.
